I earned a BA in English from Middlebury College and a Ph.D. in History and a certificate in Archival Management and Historical Editing from New York University. Before joining the Bronx Community College Department of History in 2007, I served as a project archivist at the Stuart Culin Papers at the Brooklyn Museum and an associate editor at the Harriet Jacobs Family Papers. I am on the steering committee of the Women Writing Women’s Lives seminar.
